MSUB Women Ranked No. 1 in Regional Rankings

PORTLAND, Ore. - Montana State Billings reclaimed the No. 1 ranking in this week's NCAA Division II Women's West Regional basketball poll released Wednesday.

Meanwhile on the men's side, Seattle Pacific and Western Washington maintained their No. 4 and No. 7 rankings for the third week in a row.

Joining MSUB in the women's poll are four other GNAC teams including Simon Fraser (3rd), Alaska Anchorage (5th), Seattle Pacific (6th) and Western Washington (9th).

Following this week's play, the NCAA will determine which five men's team and which five women's teams will join the GNAC, PacWest and CCAA champions in next week's regional playoffs.

The  NCAA will announce the regional field and tournament hosts on Sunday on ncaa.com.  The women's show will be at 7 p.m. Pacific followed by the men's show at 7:30.

Men - 1. Cal State San Bernardino (22-3); 2. Cal Poly Pomona (20-4); 3. Cal Baptist (24-2); 4. Seattle Pacific (22-5); 5. Dixie State (2-5); 6. Chico State (19-6); 7. Western Washingon (16-7); 8. Dominican (20-7); 9. Cal State Stanislaus (16-8); 10. San Francisco (13-11). 

Women - 1. Montana State Billings (19-6); 2. Cal Poly Pomona (21-5); 3. Simon Fraser (17-8); 4. Chico State (18-8); 5. Alaska Anchorage (18-6); 6. Seattle Pacific (17-8); 7. Cal State Dominguez Hills (16-9); 8. UC San Diego (16-10); 9. Western Washington (15-9); 10. Academy of Art (21-7).
