Directions
Driving directions to the Idaho Center Jacksons Indoor Complex (208-468-1000,16200 Can Ada Rd., Nampa,ID 83687) from I-84:Take I-84 exit #38. Head north on Garrity/Can Ada Roadpast the car dealerships. Turn right onto Franklin Road. Drive past the Hampton Inn and turn left onto Equine Drive. The Jacksons Indoor Complex will be on your right.

Transportation
Schools may make arrangements with Enterprise Rental Car for vans or cars. Contact Enterprise at 208-468-2330. Enterprise also has an office at the Boise airport for your use. They may also be reached at 208-381-0650. Make sure you use your GNAC ID number when renting these vehicles.

Meet/Appeals Committee
The meet and appeals committee will be comprised of 3 coaches, along with 2 alternates to be appointed by the conference commissioner. If one of the members is involved in the protest, an alternate will replace them on the committee.

Appeal Process
Any appeal must be made in writing to the meet director within 30 minutes following the posting or announcement of the official results of that event. The appeal must detail the rule and reason for the petition and the expected resolution and a $50 fee. The fee will be returned if the protest is upheld.

Results & Awards
Individual event awards will be presented as time permits during the meet. The team championship plaques will be presented and the Outstanding Male and Female Performer will be announced in a special ceremony to begin as soon as possible at the conclusion of the meet. Balloting for the Outstanding Male and Female Performer will be conducted immediately following the completion of the final event. Balloting for Athlete of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year will be conducted via e-mail following the national meet. Awards will be held in the south foyer entrance to Jackson Track.

Admission

Day-of general admission tickets will be sold in the South Foyer entrance. Credentials will be distributed Thursday at practice or Friday morning. Athletic trainer passes will allow field access. Passes are not transferable.

Entries
Final updates on season-best performances must be reported on TFRRS no later than Monday, Feb. 17 at Noon (Pacific Time). Scratches will be taken Wednesday evening during the coaches' teleconference. Declarations must be submitted to Direct Athletics by Monday at 7 p.m. (Pacific Time). Any subsequent scratches will result in removal of the athlete from the meet. The conference office will send the final entries to each school by Tuesday at 2 p.m. Heat and flight sheets will be e-mailed to coaches and also will be distributed at Friday’s coaches meeting.

Coaches Mandatory Technical Meeting

The coaches' meeting will be held via conference call Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. (PST). Participation by at least one coach from each school is required. Additional coaches are welcome. Meet packets can be picked up Thursday, Feb. 20 during the practice session.

If needed we will have a brief meeting Friday, FEb. 21 from 7:45-8 a.m. in the conference room at the venue. The necessity of this meeting will be determined Thursday, Feb. 20.

Scoring
Scoring in individual events and relays will be on a 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 basis.

Facilities
The Jacksons track is a 200-meter banked track with Mondo surfacing. The pole vault and high jump are located on the infield. Lanes 1-6 will be used for all running events on the oval, with the exception of the 200 meters which will be run in lanes 2-6. Lanes 1-8 will be used for the 60 meters and 60 meter hurdles.

There are large restrooms located just off the track. Locker rooms and showers are available at the track. Please bring your own towels.

Athletic training will be available onsite.

Implement Weigh-In
Each school shall list their implements on a form provided at the sign-in table. All Implements must be turned in to the weigh-in area one hour prior to competition. Weigh-in times for implements are as follows:

Friday Weigh-ins: 10 a.m. Combined Event; 2-2:30 p.m. Women's Weight; 4:30-5 p.m. Men's Shot.

Saturday Weigh-ins: 8:30-9 a.m. Men's Weight; 10:45-11:15 a.m. Women's Shot.

Please have all implements clearly marked with your institution's name. The GNAC, NNU and the Idaho Center will not be responsible for any lost or misplaced equipment. Officials will bring the certified implements to the event area in time for warm-ups. Those implements that do not meet specifications will be impounded and need to be picked up at the conclusion of the event. Only meet certified implements are allowed at the event area.

Calls
First call for track events will be 20 minutes before the event. Final call will be 10 minutes prior to the event. All athletes should be checked in at this time.

Field events check in directly at the event 45 minutes prior to the start. Running event check-in must occur no later than 30 minutes prior to the event (no earlier than 60 minutes prior to the event).

Starting Heights/Increments
Starting heights and increments for the men’s and women’s pole vault and high jump will be determined by Standards committee and e-mailed to coaches Wednesday night prior to the meet.

2014 Meet Notes

  • Management of the meet follows the NCAA Rule Book as closely as practical. GNAC details to be described.
  • Prelims to be run in the 60m, 60m hurdles, 200, 400, 800.
  • Championship indoor squad limited to 25 each gender. Each team can also bring an unlimited number of athletes to run relays only.
  • There are no qualifying standards. The conference office will continue to keep a GNAC Indoor Track and Field Performance List.
  • One relay per team, sections divided, sections seeded. No section will have fewer than three teams. All relays without marks (NM) will run in the same section.
  • Seeding of heats will utilize season's best marks. Athletes without marks will be assigned No Mark (NM).
  • 9 to finals in appropriate field events.
  • Vertical field opening heights to be no lower than the 12th best seasonal mark, adjusted by committee to attain likely NCAA qualifying mark. 15cm PV progression until 8th place + ties.
  • Follow NCAA Championship event order.

Event Qualifying

There are no qualifying standards.  Each school may enter 25 athletes per gender in an unlimited number of events.  Each team can also bring an unlimited number of athletes to run relays only.

Advancement to finals: 
60 M Hurdles: 8 next fastest times
60 Dash: 8 next fastest times
200 M: 8 next fastest times
400 M: 8 next fastest times
800 M: Top 2 times from each heat, next fastest times

Practice Times
The Jacksons track will be available Thursday night from 5-7 p.m. Needle spikes are not allowed on this track. The marshal will be present on both days to enforce this rule. Your athletes may be asked to present their shoes for inspection. The facility will be closed at 8 p.m. sharp to make final preparations for the meet. (Maximum spike length=1/4”).
