BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A total of 13 individuals and four distance medley relay teams from the GNAC have been selected to participate in the 2020 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, which run March 13 and 14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

Alaska Anchorage leads the way with three individuals and both distance medley relay teams selected to the field. Simon Fraser will send two individuals and both DMR squads while Central Washington, Concordia, Saint Martin’s and Seattle Pacific will send two individuals apiece.

Three women’s athletes are entered in two events. Saint Martin’s sophomore Keshara Romain will compete in both the long jump and triple jump. She enters with the third-best mark in Division II, a GNAC record of 41 feet, 8 inches. Concordia sophomore Paige Johnson earned invitations in both the 60 meters and 60-meter hurdles while Seattle Pacific sophomore Dania Holmberg will compete in both the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters.

Simon Fraser senior Addy Townsend enters with the No. 2 time in the women’s 800 meters at 2:07.74. She is also No. 3 in the mile but was not entered in the event. Saint Martin’s sophomore Tyler Cronk enters with the No. 3 mark in the high jump with a clearance of 7 feet, 1 inch.

Among the four DMR teams, Simon Fraser enters with the fifth-best time this season of 11:36.73. Western Oregon’s men are ranked 11th with a time of 9:52.02.
