IRVINE, Calif. - After a pair of nail-biting wins to advance to the NCAA DII West Region finals, Western Oregon's postseason run came to an end with a 5-0 loss to No. 1-seeded Concordia-Irvine on Saturday.

Western Oregon, the No. 5 seed in the tournament, ends its season with a 33-18 overall record.

The Wolves' win total was one victory shy of the school's NCAA DII-era record set in 2014 (34-23). The team's winning percentage of .647 for the year tied the school record by matching the exact results from the 2008 squad.

With its 18th straight win, Concordia (47-6) will advance to play either Chico State or UC San Diego in the West Super Regional. The Eagles were ranked No. 9 nationally in the most recent NFCA NCAA Division II poll.

Concordia Irvine's Callie Nunes (33-4), the 2019 PacWest Pitcher of the Year, held the Wolves to three hits across the seven-inning clincher. Nunes struck out nine and walked one batter.

Kennedy Coy registered the first hit against Nunes by placing a single to right in the top of the 3rd inning. A wild pitch moved the junior outfielder to second with just one out on the board but a pair of pop ups stranded WOU's first baserunner.

The Eagles returned in the home half of the inning with three runs on four hits and went on to stake a 5-0 lead with two more runs sent across the plate in the 4th.

Tyler Creach posted WOU's only other hits of the day with a single to right to start the 4th and a one-out infield single in the 6th. Coy drew Nunes' only walk of the game in the 6th, but neither player was able to advance into scoring position.

Concordia Irvine tallied 10 hits in the game with leadoff hitter Megan Massa initiating the attack with a 4-for-4 performance.
