AUSTIN, Texas – With the basketball season winding down, two of the league’s top players add to their already impressive resume as Seattle Pacific senior forward Jordan McPhee is joined by Montana State Billings senior forward Alisha Breen as GNAC selections to the 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division II Academic All-America Women’s Basketball Team.

CoSIDA All-Americans for the first time, McPhee garnered second-team recognition while Breen received third-team honors. The GNAC duo were the only two West Region representatives named to the team.

On the back of McPhee’s productive scoring season, the Falcons reached the NCAA Division II West Regional as the No. 6 seed. Shooting 43 percent from the field, she finished the campaign with a team-high 13.7 points per game. McPhee, a selection to the All-GNAC First Team and the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year, ended the season ranked fourth in the league with 1.9 steals per game and paced a Falcons’ team that allowed a GNAC-best 61.4 points per contest. She currently holds a 3.98 GPA in business administration and is a three-time GNAC All-Academic selection.

Pursuing a degree in health and human performance, Breen holds a 3.67 GPA and is a three-time Academic All-GNAC selection. On the court, Breen is 11th in Division II with 21.3 points per game and is second in the GNAC with 9.3 rebounds per game. Breen was recently named the D2CCA West Region Player of the Year and is the reigning GNAC Player of the Year. After capturing both the GNAC and West Region championship, Montana State Billings enters the NCAA Division II Elite Eight as the No. 8 seed where it will take on No. 1 seed Ashland (33-0) on Mon., Mar. 19, in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The six CoSIDA Academic All-America Division II women’s basketball first team members hold a composite 3.94 GPA. Seven members of the 16-player first, second and third teams honorees hold a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA while three selections are repeat picks from the 2016-17 honor squads. The CoSIDA Academic All-America separately recognizes honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division.
