KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After playing key roles in the successes of their programs and maintaining a high level of excellence in the classroom, Seattle Pacific junior defender Travis Swallow and Concordia junior mifdielder Paul Seydel have been named to the Men’s Scholar All-West Region Second Team by the United Soccer Coaches.

Both athletes received Honorable Mention All-GNAC and Swallow was named in November to the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-American Men’s Soccer Second Team.

Swallow holds a 3.98 GPA as an accounting and business finance major. Swallow started in all 17 matches for Seattle Pacific, anchoring the Falcon defense and contributing two assists. The Falcons concluded their season with a 6-6-0 GNAC record to finish in third place in the conference standings.

Seydel has a 3.76 GPA as a business major. A key reserve player in the Cavaliers’ midfield, Seydel finished with one goal and led the Cavaliers with four assists in 582 minutes of action. His one goal came in the Cavaliers’ wild 4-3 double-overtime victory at Seattle Pacific on October 26.
