PORTLAND, Ore. - GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. (PDT) with three guests across three different sports to kick-off the month of April.

Leading off the program was Central Washington football head coach Chris Fisk. The Wildcats will get their preparations for the 2019 season underway beginning this week when spring practice kicks off in Ellensburg.

This is Fisk's first season at the helm at CWU, taking over after Ian Shoemaker left to become the offensive coordinator at Division I FCS Eastern Washington.

The team is coming off an 8-3 (7-1 GNAC) mark on the 2018 campaign, finishing the season as co-GNAC champions. The 2019 season will begin on Sept. 7 at Division I FCS Idaho.

Also joining the show was Alaska Anchorage track and field standout, Chrisalyn Johnson. Johnson is in her senior season as a jumps star in Anchorage.

It's been quite the final run for Johnson, who has won back-to-back GNAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week awards. Her most recent nod came after she reset her own school record in the triple jump and set a new mark in the long jump at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic. Both of those marks won each event in Hayward, Calif.

Johnson joined the program to talk about her recent success while previewing a busy month that lies ahead for the Seawolves.

Tuesday's show was rounded out by a visit from Western Washington softball head coach Sheryl Gilmore. Gilmore's club is the reigning GNAC Team of the Week after winning seven games in seven days, all of which came away from home. The Vikings enter the month of April sitting in second place in the conference standings.
