PORTLAND, Ore. – Guests for episode 47 of GNAC Insider included Seattle Pacific senior guards Aubree Callen and Suzanna Ohlsen, Alaska Anchorage guard Brian McGill and Montana State Billings athletic director Krista Montague.

Ohlsen and Callen are the Falcons leading scorers this season. These players lead an SPU team that is 11-1 overall, only losing to No. 3 Alaska Anchorage, and tied for the lead in the conference. These two, along with fellow senior Betsy Kingma, led the Falcons to road wins last week against Western Washington and Simon Fraser, two NCAA tournament teams from a year ago. The two discussed playing against the high scoring offenses of the GNAC and talked about their proficient free throw shooting.

McGill is in his junior year playing guard for the Seawolves. The former second team All-GNAC honoree ranks third in the conference in scoring at 16.9 points each game. The current GNAC Player of the Week put up 28 and 20 points respectively in conference wins last week over Simon Fraser and Western Washington and has the Seawolves on a hot streak, winning four games in a row. McGill was asked about the team’s turnaround from a slow start and his experience playing in the Great Alaska Shootout.

Montague is in her second full season as the athletic director at Montana State Billings. Montague has been with MSUB since 2002 and was named the first female AD in Montana in May of 2013. In her tenure, MSUB has secured hosting rights for the 2014 NCAA Cross Country West Regional Championships and the 2014-15 GNAC men’s and women’s basketball championships. Montague will be one of many panelists at the GNAC's second annual Women in Sports Seminar on Jan. 24 in Portland, Ore. The event is designed for high school and college women interested in a career in sports. The MSUB athletic director gave a sneak peak at what the seminar will be like and discussed the upcoming GNAC basketball championships being held in Billings.

GNAC Insider airs live at 7 p.m. Pacific time every Tuesday and is produced by the conference office. All episodes become available as free podcasts via iTunes, and for archived listening via GNAC.TV.
