PORTLAND, Ore. -- Montana State Billings has earned a No. 23 national ranking in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division II soccer poll.

The Yellowjackets are off to an 8-0 start.  In addition to being ranked No. 23 in the national poll, MSUB is ranked third in this week’s West Regional poll.

Also ranked in the regional poll this week are Seattle Pacific (5th) and Western Washington (9th).

MSUB plays at Simon Fraser this Thursday before taking on Western Washington Saturday.

The Yellowjackets have allowed just two goals in eight games and are ranked third nationally in goals against average (0.25) and sixth in shutout percentage (.750).  They also rank fourth in save percentage (.938)

Individually, MSUB goalie Alexandria Johnson ranks sixth in both goals against (0.25) and save percentage (.938).  She is the only GNAC player ranked in the Top 10.
