ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Seventh-seed Cal Poly Pomona used a 20-4 run in the last four minutes to defeat sixth seed Seattle Pacific 90-74 in the West Region semifinals of the NCAA tournament Saturday.

The Broncos' Tyler Woods and Ariel Marsh combined for 15 of their 20 points in the run to help Cal Poly Pomona advance to the regional championship game. CPP will play the winner of Point Loma and Cal Baptist Monday at 7 p.m. Alaska Time for the West Regional Championship.

Mary Williams and Jada Blackwell led the Broncos with 23 and 21 points, respectively.

Senior Aubree Callen tied the game-high with 23 points for the Falcons. Fellow senior Suzanna Ohlsen also added 16.

The Falcons and Broncos traded baskets in the first 10 minutes before SPU started to gain momentum. The Falcons led 32-25 with four minutes left in the half, but CPP went on a 14-3 run to end the half up 39-35.

Aubree Callen hit five of her seven shots in the first half, including four from behind the arc, to end the half with 14 points.

Callen made a jumper and Ohlsen made a three to start the half, putting the Falcons back on top.

Eight lead changes later, the Falcons held a 70-69 lead with five minutes remaining, but couldn’t hold onto it as the Broncos went on a 20-4 run to close out the game.

Seattle Pacific ends their season at 22-7.
