NCAA West Regional (March 13-16 at Alaska Airlines Center, Anchorage, AK): Friday –  #3 Humboldt State (23-5) vs. #6 Seattle Pacific (21-6), noon; #2 CSU Dominguez Hills  (26-6) vs. #7 Cal Poly Pomona (19-8), 2:30 p.m.; #4 Hawaii Pacific (25-4) vs. #5 Cal Baptist (24-6), 5 p.m. ; #1 Alaska Anchorage (29-1) vs. #8 Point Loma (19-11), 7:30 p.m.  Saturday – Semifinals at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday – Championship game at 7 p.m. (Note: Games times are Alaska time).

PORTLAND, Ore. - The No.1 ranked team in Division II, Alaska Anchorage, has earned the West Region's top seed and the right to host the regional while Seattle Pacific was named a sixth in the NCAA tournament Sunday by the NCAA.

The Seawolves, who won the GNAC tournament title Saturday, will play eighth-seed Point Loma of the PacWest Conference Friday in the final game of the first round at 7:30 p.m. Alaska Time. Seattle Pacific will play third seed Humboldt State in the tournament's opening game at noon.

Point Loma (19-11) finished the PacWest season 15-5 and lost in its tournament semifinal to Cal Baptist. Seattle Pacific and Humboldt State (23-5) played earlier this season at the West Region Crossover Classic where the Falcons beat the Jacks 83-74.

Alaska Anchorage, Hawaii Pacific and Cal State Dominguez Hills all won automatic berths by winning their conference tournaments Saturday.

Hawaii Pacific, which was ranked sixth in last week's regional poll, defeated California Baptist 74-73 in the PacWest championship game, and Cal State Dominguez Hills, which was ranked third in the regional poll, defeated unranked Cal State East Bay 76-57 for the CCAA title.

The winner of the West Regional tournament will advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, S.D., March 24-27.


CCAA: Thursday - #6 CSU East Bay 75, #3 Cal Poly Pomona 70; #5 CSU San Bernardino 69, #4 UC San Diego 58.  Friday - CSU East Bay 73, #2 Humboldt State 67; #1 CSU Dominguez Hills 69, CSU San Bernardino 66 (ot).  Saturday - CSU Dominguez Hills 76, CSU East Bay 57.

PacWest: Thursday - #3 Point Loma 88, #6 BYU-Hawaii 65; #4 Azusa Pacific 69, #5 Academy of Art 59.  Friday - #1 Hawaii Pacific 72, Azusa Pacific 60; #2 California Baptist 73, Point Loma 71.  Saturday - Hawaii Pacific 74, California Baptist 73.

GNAC: Thursday - #3 Western Washington 51, #6 Central Washington 40; #4 Simon Fraser 64, #5 Saint Martin's 56.  Friday - Western Washington 72, #2 Seattle Pacific 67 (ot); #1 Alaska Anchorage 59, Simon Fraser 56.  Saturday - Alaska Anchorage 71, Western Washington 58.
