LACEY, Wash. – The third day of action at the GNAC Basketball Championships features four teams vying for the conference tournament championship on Friday at Marcus Pavilion on the campus of Saint Martin’s University.

The first final, which begins at 5:15 p.m., features the GNAC’s top two teams in Alaska Anchorage and Western Washington. The Seawolves are riding a 24-game winning streak into the championship game, while the Vikings have won 19 of their last 20 games with the only loss being a double-overtime defeat to UAA. Each of the previous six GNAC Championships have been won by either Alaska Anchorage or Western Washington with the Seawolves winning four and WWU taking two.

The second final, beginning at 7:30 p.m., pits No. 1 seed Western Washington against No. 3 Western Oregon, which is coming off a triple-overtime win against Alaska Anchorage. The GNAC regular season champion Vikings reached the final with a 91-79 win against No. 4 Saint Martin’s. The Vikings won both regular season meetings between the two teams, but the Wolves won the tournament last year on their way to the national semifinals.

Tickets for each session will be sold at the door. General admission is $11 for each session and the tournament pass is $42. The reserved session pass is $16 and the reserved tournament pass is $56.
