For the fifth year in a row, the Montana State University Billings women's basketball team coached by Kevin Woodin has been named to the WBCA NCAA Division II Academic Top 25 Team Honor roll.

The award goes to the teams that rank in the Top 25 nationally in grade point average. MSUB finished 19th nationally and first in the West Region with a 3.476 GPA.

Also making the Top 25 list was Seattle Pacific with a 3.448 GPA. The Falcons ranked 20th.

Cal State East Bay, which ranked 24th, was the only other West Region team to make the Top 25.

“Our players have worked very hard in the classroom to earn this distinguished award,” said Woodin. “I am proud of their continued commitment to excellence both on and off the court.”

This past season, MSUB placed four players on the GNAC's academic all-conference team including guards Bobbi Knudsen, Brooke Tolman and Kalli Stanhope and forward Corie Smith.
