A LOGJAM AT THE TOP: By the time the dust had cleared on the weekend, what had been a clear separation at the top of the GNAC volleyball standings became a four-horse race. With Western Washington’s two losses, there was a four-team tie for first place in the conference standings with the Vikings, Alaska Anchorage, Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene at 10-2. With their win on Tuesday, Western Washington gained a half-game lead at 11-2.

None of the top-four teams will meet this weekend, but there will be a number of matchups in the final three weeks of the regular season. Western Washington will host Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 14. The Seawolves will host Central Washington on Nov. 5 and Northwest Nazarene on Nov. 7. Northwest Nazarene will host Central Washington on Nov. 17 in the final week of the season.
