PORTLAND, Ore. - Western Washington is ranked 16th and Central Washington is ranked 25th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll.

The Vikings and Wildcats are currently tied for first place in the GNAC with 5-1 conference records.  WWU is 12-2 overall, while CWU is 10-4.  Western Oregon is among "others receiving vote" and is ranked 36th overall.

In this week's NCAA Division II national statistical report, setter Laurie Yearout of Western Washington is the highest ranked player.  She ranks fourth in assists, averaging 12.46 per set.

Krissy Kemper of Western Oregon ranks fifth in hitting percentage (.422) and libero Samantha Hutchinson of Western Washington ranks sixth in digs (5.98).

Also in the Top 10 is Western Washington outside hitter Marlayna Geary.  She ranks seventh in kills (4.46) and points (5.08).  Erin Compton of Montana State Billings ranks eighth in digs, averaging 5.71 per game.

In team categories, Western Washington ranks fifth in hitting percentage (.281), sixth in assists (13.78) and ninth in kills (14.30).
