PORTLAND, Ore. - Micah Chelimo of Alaska Anchorage has been selected the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Male Athlete of the Week.

Chelimo swept the mile, 3000 and 5000 titles in last week's GNAC Indoor Track and Field championship meet at Jacksons Track in Nampa leading the Seawolves to a second-place team finish.

He won the mile in a time of 4:12.46.  In the 3000 he posted a winning time of 8:29.35.  In the 5000, he was clocked in a winning time of 14:55.17.

On the season, Chelimo leads all Division II athletes with a time of 13:511.19.
