MOSCOW, Idaho - Becki Duhamel of Central Washington won the women’s weight throw Saturday at the Vandal Open posting the third best mark in GNAC history.

Duhamel tossed the 20-pound implement a provisional national qualifying 53 feet, 11 ¾ inches.  Duhamel also finished fifth in the shot put, missing a GNAC Top 10 mark in that event by ¾ inch with a put of 42-6 ¼.  

Duhamel was one of five CWU winners in the meet. Lewis Meyers won the men’s high jump with a leap of 6-4 ¾.  In the women’s division, Jayna Inderbitzin won the 400 (1:00.98) and Jamie Larsen won the pole vault (11-3 ¾).  The Wildcats also won the 4x400 relay in a time of 4:14.18.

Saint Martin’s Kelly Cronic won the women’s triple jump (36-9 ¾).  

At Nampa, Tanner Rottrup of Montana State Billings and Marie Smith of Northwest Nazarene had GNAC Top 10 all-time marks.

Rottrup matched  his career-best in the shot with a third-place put of 52-1.  That ranks sixth all-time and is a provisional national qualifying mark.  He had the same mark last season.  Smith chopped .04 seconds off her career best in the women’s 60 hurdles with a second-place time of 9.00.

Stephen Larlee of Northwest Nazarene was the lone GNAC winner finishing first in the men’s triple jump with a leap of 45-0 ½.
