THIS WEEK'S GNAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSE
Karli White, Western Washington
F • 5-5 • Junior • North Bend, Wash.
White scored two goals and had two assists in the Vikings’ 7-0 GNAC-opening shutout of Western Oregon on Saturday. The six-point performance is the second multi-point performance of her WWU career and has now scored four goals and had four assists in five matches.

DEFENSE
Ana Delgadillo

Delgadillo anchored a Concordia backline that allowed just one goal in 220 minutes of action against 35 shots and seven shots on goal. The Concordia defense allowed one goal in the 2-1 double-overtime win over Cal Baptist on Wednesday and held Central Washington scoreless in a 0-0 shutout on Sunday.

AROUND THE GNAC
CENTRAL WASHINGTON
LAST WEEK: Tied vs. Fresno Pacific 4-4. Tied vs. Concordia 0-0.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 23 vs. Simon Fraser, Noon.
• Emily Holt made nine saves as Central Washington played GNAC foe Concordia to a 0-0 draw on Sunday.
• The Wildcats tallied 20 shots, while Concordia finished with 21. The Wildcats were awarded five corner kicks, while they held Concordia to just two. Holt earned her first clean sheet of the season.
• In the last three meetings between Concordia and Central Washington, only two goals have been scored.
• Mackenzie Nolte ranks tied for second in the GNAC with four goals this season.
• Whitney Lowe leads all GNAC players with 23 shots, averaging 3.83 per contest. Nolte remains in second with 22 shots.
• Holt paces the GNAC with 31 saves, averaging 6.20 saves per match. She has played in five matches this season, allowing seven goals in 470 minutes of play.
• The Wildcats take part in one conference match this week on Saturday against Simon Fraser at home.

CONCORDIA
LAST WEEK: Tied at Central Washington 0-0.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 vs. Montana State Billings, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Western Oregon, 3 p.m.
• Concorida ranks 10th in this week’s United Soccer Coaches NCAA Divsiion II West Region Poll.
• The Cavaliers went 1-0-1 last week, including a 2-1 double overtime win over Cal Baptist, who was seventh in the region. The Cavs opened GNAC play with a scoreless tie at Central Washington on Sunday.
• For her efforts in helping the Cavalier defense in allowing just one goal in 220 minutes, senior defender Ana Delgadillo was selected as the GNAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
• Anna Miller has posted a 0.99 goals against average with 13 saves and a .722 saves percentage in five matches. In two appearances, Shannon Peth has recorded a 2.67 goals against average with four saves and a .500 saves percentage.
• Quinn Williams is tied for fourth in the GNAC with two game-winning goals while Jennifer Aguirre is tied for fourth with her two assists.  Miller is third with 0.99 goals against average and ninth with 2.60 saves per match.
• Concordia returns home to host Montana State Billings at 7:30 p.m. this Thursday at Tuominen Yard. They later travel to Monmouth, Ore. on Tuesday, to take on Western Oregon in the Cavaliers’ third GNAC match of the year.

MONTANA STATE BILLINGS
LAST WEEK: Lost at Carroll (Mont.) 3-0. Lost at Northwest Nazarene 1-0.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 at Concordia, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Western Oregon, 11:30 a.m.
• Montana State Billings is coming off a 1-0 loss at Northwest Nazarene in its GNAC opener last Saturday.
•  The ‘Jackets also fell 3-0 at Carroll (Mont.) last week in their final non-conference match of the fall season.
• In her collegiate debut, Erinn Harder faced 16 shots against Carroll. Harder has made nine saves in the last two matches, including five against Northwest Nazarene.
• Transitioning this season into the center back position, Kalin Sandow has logged heavy minutes, with an average of 80.7 per game. Sandow has had three 90-minute efforts this fall, including most recently against NNU.
• The ‘Jackets got off to a strong start to the year offensively, netting six goals in their opening three matches. The attack has stifled recently, however, with just one goal in their last three matches. In their opening three contests, the Yellowjackets totaled 26 shots on target (8.67 per game). During their latest goal drought, MSUB has managed just half that amount.
• Many of the Yellowjackets will sport unique rainbow laces during this week’s matches, supporting the United Soccer Coaches’ LGBT Coaches and Allies Member Group.
• Montana State Billings heads west to face Concordia on Thursday and Western Oregon on Saturday.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE
LAST WEEK: Won vs. Montana State Billings 1-0.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 at Western Oregon, 3 p.m. Sept. 23 at Seattle Pacific, 4 p.m.
• Northwest Nazarene opened GNAC play on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Montana State Billings at home.
• Rikki Myers scored NNU’s deciding goal in the 70th minute, recording her second goal of the season.
• Crusader goalkeeper Daniele Ortiz made three saves to notch her league-leading third shutout this season.
• In terms of shutouts, Northwest Nazarene leads the league with four. The Crusaders have also been flagged offside the most, totaling 19.
• Northwest Nazarene, Seattle Pacific and Western Washington were the trio of teams to pick up a victory during the first week of conference play. The win handed NNU a two-game winning streak.
• Madi Taylor is one of seven Crusaders to start all six contests this season. She leads the team in points (8), goals (3) and assists (2).
• The Crusaders return to the pitch next weekend, traveling to Western Oregon on Thursday and Seattle Pacific on Saturday.

SAINT MARTIN'S
LAST WEEK: Lost vs. Cal Baptist 5-0.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 at Seattle Pacific, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 23 vs. Western Washington, 1 p.m.
•After holding off a relentless first half attack from Cal Baptist, Saint Martin’s defense gave way late in the second period as the Saints fell 5-0.
• Combining for 13 shots and one goal this year, Shea McKnight and Kyle Sarchett have equaled more than 50 percent of the Saints’ shots. SMU has taken 24 total shots in five matches, with 10 landing on target.
• Saint Martin’s, Montana State Billings, Simon Fraser, and Western Oregon all have zero points in conference; however, SMU is the only school yet to play a conference match.
• SMU leads the GNAC with 34 saves, averaging 6.80 per contest. Ali Koehler is fifth in the GNAC with 21 saves and owns a .700 save percentage, leading all conference goalkeepers.
• The Saints open its GNAC slate this Thursday at Seattle Pacific. Saint Martin’s travels north to Bellingham two days later to take on defending NCAA Division II Champion No. 1 Western Washington.

SEATTLE PACIFIC
LAST WEEK: Won 2-1 at Simon Fraser
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 vs. Saint Martin's, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 23 vs. Northwest Nazarene, 4 p.m.
• Forward Kasey Reeve has netted every game-winning goal this season for Seattle Pacific, scoring in the 71st minute of a 2-1 win over Simon Fraser last Saturday.
• The Falcons ended a two-game losing skid, which includes a 2-1 overtime defeat at Cal Poly in their non-conference finale last week.
• All five SPU games have been decided by one-goal margins. Just like their two previous wins, Saturday’s game featured a rally from an early deficit and a game-clinching strike from Reeve.
• Molly Stinson recorded six saves for the Falcons, who were outshot 14-11 against SFU. The Falcons’ senior netminder is averaging five saves per game and is on pace to break the school’s career saves record. Stinson’s 237 saves are 34 shy of the SPU career-high of 271, set by Jennifer Hull from 2001-04.
• The Falcons finally return to Seattle for their first home game in September. They host Saint Martin’s Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and take on Northwest Nazarene at Interbay on Saturday.

SIMON FRASER
LAST WEEK: Lost 2-1 vs. Seattle Pacific.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 at Western Washington, 7 p.m. Sept. 23 vs. Central Washington, Noon.
• Midfielder Carmen Brown scored her first career goal in a 2-1 loss against Seattle Pacific to open GNAC play last Saturday.
• Brown totaled six shots with three of those on net. Midfielder Jenna-lee Baxter recorded three shots on goal as well. Emma Pringle made her presence felt with two very close chances that were turned away by Seattle Pacific goalkeeper Molly Stinson.
• Pringle continues to lead the Clan with four goals and is tied for fourth in the GNAC with nine points.
• In five matches, SFU goalkeeper Priya Sandhu has recorded 23 saves against 54 shots.
• After starting the season 2-0, the Clan have dropped its last three contests, managing just one goal in each of the last three games.
• SFU travels for the first time since its opening matchup at Cal State East Bay on Sept. 2, when they take on No. 1 Western Washington tomorrow at 7 p.m. The Clan play its third GNAC contest two days later at Central Washington.

WESTERN OREGON
LAST WEEK: Lost 7-0 at Western Washington.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 vs. Northwest Nazarene, 3 p.m. Sept. 23 vs Montana State Billings, 11:30 a.m.
• The Wolves played one match last week, as they faced No. 1 Western Washington. The Vikings scored five times in the first 20 minutes en route to a 7-0 win.
• Four different WOU players have scored a goal so far this season. Forward Alyssa Tomasini is the lone player to find the net more than once through the first five matches.
• The team’s four assists have come from four different players. Defender Dana Jacobs and forward Kennedy Clay have notched one goal and an assist each for the Wolves.
• Shot stopper Caitlin Kastelic has played all 463 minutes for the Wolves between the sticks. Kastelic holds a .644 save percentage.
• The Wolves have out-saved its opponents this year 29-15. Tomasini has the lone game-winning goal, which came against Chaminade on Sept. 10.
• Western Oregon will play half of its upcoming four-game home stand this week with a Thursday match against Northwest Nazarene and a Saturday morning tilt against Montana State Billings.

WESTERN WASHINGTON
LAST WEEK: Won vs. Western Oregon 7-0.
THIS WEEK: Sept. 21 vs. Simon Fraser, 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at Saint Martin's, 1 p.m.
• In its opening GNAC contest, Western Washington comfortably handed Western Oregon a 7-0 defeat at Harrington Field.
• Karli White tallied two goals and two assists in the match, earning this week’s GNAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year honors.
• WWU is ranked No. 1 in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Poll.The Vikings are also listed No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches West Region rankings. Western Washington has been ranked No. 1 in the last 13 NCAA Division II polls.
• Dating back to the start of last season, the Vikings have won their last 29 games and are undefeated in their last 30 games. Their 29-game winning streak is the 4th-longest winning streak in NCAA II history. The 30-game unbeaten streak is the 8th-longest in NCAA Division II history.
• Gabriela Pelogi has recorded 15 points in the Vikings’ first five games of the season.  She leads all GNAC players in points (15), goals (6) and game-winning goals (3).
• The Vikings lead all GNAC teams in points (57), goals (19), goals allowed (2)and assists (19).
• Western Washington travels to take on Saint Martin’s this Saturday at 1 p.m.
