NNU Volleyball Team To Play This Summer in China

The Crusaders, who posted a 14-4 record and finished third in the GNAC this fall, will play as many as six exhibition matches, while also touring historic and cultural sights in China between June 7 and June 18.

The Vikings clinched the GNAC's automatic berth for the regionals which begin Thursday, Dec. 5 with a 3-0 win at Simon Fraser Thursday. The entire regional field will be announced Monday at 4:30 p.m. Pacific.

UAF's Harthun Climbs To 9th In Points; WWU 8th in AVCA Poll

Harthun jumped from No. 22 to No. 9 after producing 45 points last week against Western Washington and Simon Fraser. She is averaging 4.76 points per set. She also climbed to No. 12 nationally in kills, averaging 4.23 per set.

The Vikings and Wildcats are ranked 17th and 24th in the AVCA poll. Western Washington finished last season ranked 15th and is coming off a 24-4 season, while the Wildcats posted their first 20-win season since 2005.
