PORTLAND, Ore. - The spring sports season is now in full swing and GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. (PDT) with three wide-ranging guests.

Leading off the program was Saint Martin's track and field star Liz Larson. Larson is in her senior season in Lacey, wrapping up a storied career full of accolades.

The throws star made the GNAC Outdoor All-Conference Team last spring and qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships. She is off to a strong start to her senior season and will be back in action with the Saints at the Boxer Combined Event on Mar. 25-26 in Forest Grove, Ore.

Also joining the show was Mike Larabee, the head softball coach at Central Washington. Larabee is in his fourth season at the helm in Ellensburg, arriving at CWU after six years at Division I Arkansas.

It has been quite the start to the 2019 campaign for the Wildcats, winners of eight straight games as they approach their home opener this weekend at Gary & Bobbi Frederick Field. The team has been led by sophomore Theresa Moyle, who currently tops the team in batting average (.514), RBIs (22) and home runs (7).

Central Washington was named the GNAC Team of the Week on Monday after going on the road to sweep doubleheaders at Western Washington and Simon Fraser. Larabee joined the program to talk about the week that was and his team's success thus far.

Tuesday's show was rounded out by a visit from Western Oregon baseball catcher Justin Wakem. Wakem, the conference's reigning Player of the Week, recently helped guide the Wolves to a record-setting performance against Central Washington and a sweep of Concordia as the second month of the season rolls on. The senior is hitting .353 offensively and has 13 RBIs heading into an important four-game series at Northwest Nazarene this weekend.
