PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. (PDT) with another well-rounded show as we near the completion of the first month on the fall sports calendar.

Making her GNAC Insider debut was Western Oregon women's soccer midfielder Selene Konyn. Now a junior, Konyn is in her third season in Monmouth.

No one has seen more time on the pitch as the midfielder has appeared in all 41 matches since stepping on campus. Her team is off to a hot start in GNAC play, winning its last two matches by identical 1-0 scorelines.

Now at 4-3-1 (2-1-0 GNAC) on the year, the Wolves sit in a tie for second place in the conference standings. Konyn will lead the team back to the field for a pair of big matches this week, culminating at home on Saturday morning against No. 17 Western Washington.

Over on the volleyball court, Seattle Pacific finds itself in a tie for second place at the season's halfway point. The Falcons are riding a five-match winning streak, a stretch that included a run of three-straight clean sweeps two weeks ago.

The team will travel to Ellensburg on Saturday for a crucial matchup at Central Washington, and joining the show to preview the week ahead was head coach Abbie Wright and middle blocker Shaun Crespi. This is Wright's second year at the helm in Seattle, while Crespi is one of four seniors on the SPU roster.

GNAC Insider was also joined by Central Washington athletic director Dennis Francois. Francois has held his position with the Wildcats since 2013, coming to the GNAC after serving as the associate athletic director for external affairs at Drake. It's a big week for CWU as the university will play its first-ever home football night game under the lights at the remodeled Tomlinson Stadium.
