PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. (PDT) with a stacked show as the fall athletic season is now in full swing.

Making her first-ever appearance on GNAC Insider was Northwest Nazarene women's soccer head coach Mary Trigg. Trigg has been at the helm in Nampa since 2013, taking over the program after a two-year stint as the assistant coach at Sacramento State.

The Nighthawks have seen steady improvement on the pitch throughout Trigg's tenure. Included in that stretch was a very impressive 2017 campaign in which NNU set school records for wins in a season (11) and shutouts (10) en route to the first playoff berth in program history.

Building off that momentum, Trigg's team is off to a red-hot start this season. Northwest Nazarene is tied for first at the top of the GNAC table with three points and a record of 5-0-1, and the club will play host to No. 15 Concordia on Thursday afternoon.

Off to a similarly hot start in 2018 is the Simon Fraser men's soccer team. The Clan are up to No. 3 in the latest national rankings and have outscored their last three opponents 14-nil.

The team will enter the conference portion of its slate this week, and joining the show to preview the road ahead was forward Connor Glennon. Glennon is the reigning GNAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals and adding two assists in a pair of victories last week. The B.C.-native ranks second on the team in goals with five strikes in six matches.

GNAC Insider was also be joined by Montana State Billings athletic director Krista Montague. Montague has held her position with the Yellowjackets since 2013 and is a graduate of MSUB. It's a big week for the program's soccer teams as two of the four scheduled matches will be played against nationally-ranked opponents.
