PORTLAND, Ore. – With all fall sports now underway for the 2018-19 season, GNAC Insider returned to the airwaves on Tuesday night.

Making his GNAC Insider debut, Alaska Anchorage athletic director Greg Myford joined the show. Myford started in Anchorage on July 31 and has hit the ground running, announcing the additions of a new head athletic trainer and strength & conditioning assistant since joining the Seawolves.

Prior to leaving for UAA, Myford had been employed at IMG College. While there, he was responsible for the management and design of multimedia rights agreements and corporate sponsorships for multiple prominent universities. Prior to his stint at IMG, Myford led the External Relations team at Penn State for 10 years. His team in State College reached new heights in areas such as event attendance, revenue generation and facility enhancements.

Off to another hot start to open the 2018 campaign, Concordia women's soccer finds itself ranked inside the top-20 nationally as it enters GNAC play. The Cavaliers will open conference action under the lights at home on Saturday night against No. 11 Western Washington, a rematch of last year's GNAC Championships final and a showdown between the top two selections in this year's preseason coaches poll.

Previewing Saturday's battle and recapping CU's non-conference slate was midfielder Gabrielle Ewing. Ewing has patrolled the center of the pitch with precision in 2018, helping lead her club to a 3-0-1 mark through two weeks of action. The senior leads Concordia in shots taken and has started all four games this season.

GNAC Insider was also joined by Central Washington volleyball head coach Mario Andaya. Andaya has guided the Wildcats to an 8-1 start to the season and is currently riding a six-game winning streak, placing his team in a tie for first at the top of the GNAC standings. It's a big week for Central Washington, which will play host to No. 13 Western Washington on Saturday night.
