BILLINGS, Mont. – Three-time All-American Bobbi Knudsen of the Montana State University Billings women's basketball team has been recognized within the MTN Sports top-25 female basketball stars from the state of Montana.
 
Knudsen completed her decorated career at MSUB in the spring of 2014, leading the Yellowjackets to the regional title game of the NCAA Division II Championships during her senior season. She checked in at No. 24 on the list, which is being revealed currently leading up to the No. 1 player on Aug. 11.
 
When Knudsen finished her career she was No. 1 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference record books in both scoring (1,831) and assists (532), marks that each rank second in the MSUB record books. She scored 17.2 points per game as a senior, while breaking a school record for assists with 193 in 2013-14. The standout performance led to unanimous GNAC Player of the Year honors, and overall Knudsen played in 118 games in her career with the Yellowjackets.
 
Her senior campaign, Knudsen ended the year ranked No. 5 in the nation in assists per game with 5.8, and No. 29 in assist/turnover ratio with 1.95. She was also named the GNAC Female Athlete of the Year, claiming the top honor for any athlete in any sport in the conference.
 
A native of Malta, Mont., Knudsen was a star for the M-Ettes and led the team to state championship titles in 2007 and 2010. She was an all-state performer as a junior and a senior, and additionally claimed the state title in the 800 meters in track and field.
 
Knudsen played professionally in Germany for one season after her collegiate career, and has had recent coaching stints with Seattle Pacific University and as a volunteer assistant at MSU Billings.
