PORTLAND, Ore. – The 2018 GNAC Softball Player of the Year is closing her career with a pair of all-American awards as Montana State Billings senior outfielder Heather Tracy has been named to both the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-America Teams.

Tracy was named to the NFCA Division II All-America Third Team and was named an honorable mention by the D2CCA. She was the only GNAC player honored with All-American honors in 2018.

"Heather left a tremendous impact on the program both on and off the field during her time here," said MSUB head coach Jessica Rayman. "She consistently had standout performances on the field and her talent and athleticism will be hard to replace in right field next year. She deserves every bit of the honors that she has received throughout the season. It is exciting to have her named the second All-American in MSUB history and the first to be an All-American with both the D2CCA and the NFCA."

Selected as the 2018 GNAC Softball Player of the Year, Tracy finished the regular season with a league-leading .488 batting average, ranking her seventh nationally. She finished fifth in Division II with 82 hits and also led the conference in slugging percentage (.769), on-base percentage (.511) and runs scored (49). Tracy also set MSUB career records in batting average (.426), games played (192) and hits (270). In the process, Tracy became a three-time First Team All-GNAC selection.

Tracy is the 10th GNAC player all-time to be named an All-American by the NFCA and the 12th honored by the D2CCA All-America program. She is just the third conference player to earn honors from both organizations in the same year, joining Danielle Monson of Central Washington in 2010, Saint Martin’s Lacey McGladrey in 2013 and the Wildcats’ Kailyn Campbell in 2017.
