PORTLAND, Ore. – After a few months off, the GNAC spring golf season commences next week with all six men’s teams in action at the East/West Bay Area Invitational in Livermore, Calif. GNAC champions a season ago, Western Washington leans on the shoulders of senior Adam Barker, who led the team in the fall with 72.9 strokes per round. Concordia looks to build off its solid fall campaign after earning three top-10 team finishes. The trio of Northwest Nazarene, Montana State Billings and Saint Martin’s all look to impress before partaking in its second spring tournament on Mar. 12.

Led by senior standout Chris Chrisologo, Simon Fraser will appear in its first of four spring tournaments before the GNAC Championships in April. Crisologo is coming off his most recent trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he captured the South American Amateur trophy following a four-stroke victory at the Martindale Country Club.

With the win, Crisologo became the first Canadian male to capture the event. The victory also marks Crisologo’s first win as a member of Team Canada after receiving a call-up to the National Amateur Squad back in October.
