PORTLAND, Ore. - A total of 87 student-athletes – 52 women and 35 men - have been selected to the 2014 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Soccer Academic all-conference team.

Heading up the women’s academic team is Andrea DiLorenzo of Simon Fraser and Taylor Gersch of Saint Martin’s.  DiLorenzo has a 4.12 GPA in the Canadian system which awards 4.33 points for an A plus.  Gersch has a perfect 4.00 GPA in the American system.

Saint Martin’s led the way placing 10 players on the women’s team.  Seattle Pacific, which placed nine on the women’s team, led the way on the men’s team also placing nine on the academic squad. 

Simon Fraser’s Brandon Watson has a 4.15 GPA.  Two men have 4.00 GPAs – Erik Fenske of South Dakota Mines and Jordan Kollars of Seattle Pacific.

Thirteen student-athletes were named to the soccer academic team for the third time, including 11 women and two men.   An additional 20 student-athletes, 10 women and nine men - earned academic all-star honors for the second time.
