PORTLAND, Ore. – Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year Chris Bargholz and Freshman of the Year Magnus Kristensen of Simon Fraser were each named to a pair of men’s soccer All-America teams.

The duo was instrumental in helping SFU reach its second-straight NCAA Final Four, and both were named Daktronics First-Team and NSCAA Second-Team All-Americans. Also earning NSCAA honors was Andrew Weishaar of Western Washington, who received the nod to the Third-Team after leading the Vikings in goals with 10 during his senior campaign.

Bargholz tallied four goals and seven assists this season, while starting 15 contests and being unanimously named a first-team All-GNAC pick. Kristensen was the only member of SFU to start all 23 matches, and he contributed three goals and an assist from the Clan’s back line. Weishaar capped off a memorable career as the fifth-leading scorer in WWU history with 26 goals during his four-season tenure.

Eivind Austboe of Long Island Post (N.Y.) was named Daktronics Player of the Year.

Following is a complete listing of GNAC players selected to Daktronics and NSCAA All-America and All-Region teams. A full recap of the 2013 men’s soccer season, including team-by-team analysis, can be found in the ‘related links’ section of this article.
