Week of Sept. 17-23: Jake Koppenberg, Western Washington (Jr., Everett, WA), a transfer from the University of Idaho, carded rounds of 70 and 64 to finish with a eight-under-par 134 total in the Saint Martin's Invitational. Koppenberg finished second and also led the Vikings to a second-place team finish in the 36-hole event.
Week of Sept. 24-30: Sean Packer, Western Washington (Sr., Sumner, WA – Auburn-Riverside) finished seventh in the Western Washington Invitational with a three-under par 54-hole total of 213, including a tournament-best 65 in the second round. After two tournaments, Packer leads the GNAC with a stroke average of 70.2 for five rounds.
Week of Oct. 1-7: Jake Koppenberg, Western Washington (Jr., Everett, WA – U. Idaho) set school records for a single round (62) and tournament (200) in winning the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational with a 16-under par total. Koppenberg is averaging 69.8 strokes per round for three tournaments this fall.
Week of Mar. 31-Apr. 6: Jake Koppenberg, Western Washington (Jr., Everett, WA) finished second in the Grand Canyon Invitational at Goodyear, Ariz. to lead the Vikings to a fourth-place team finish. It was Koppenberg's sixth Top 10 finish in eight tournaments this season and dropped his scoring average to 70.9, which is a school-record pace.

Week of Apr. 14-20: Brandon Brown, Western Washington (Jr., Kent, WA) finished fourth in the Cal State Stanislaus Invitational at Turlock, Calif., with a 54-hole total of even par 216. Brown came into the tournament ranked just sixth in the GNAC in scoring and fifth on his own team with a 75.7 average. His 54-hole total was 11 shots lower than any of his teammates and his bogey-free round on Tuesday was one of just five below par for the day. “With the high winds he had to deal with, that was a very impressive round of golf,” said Western coach Steve Card . “It's arguably one of the most impressive performances I've seen in my 15 years coaching here. It was by far his best performance as a Viking.”
