Crisologo Places Fifth At Canadian College Championship

PARKSVILLE, B.C. – Simon Fraser sophomore Chris Crisologo finished 2-under-par and in fifth place at the Golf Canada Canadian University/College Championship at the Morningstar Golf Club in Parksville, B.C., on Friday (June 3).
 
Crisologo was nine strokes back of winner Scott Sheard of the University of British Columbia, who took medalist honors after finishing 11-under-par (277) after four rounds.  Crisologo fired rounds of 68, 76, 71 and 71 for a 286 total. He recorded two eagles, 14 birdies and 44 pars. He was tied for second in the tournament with the most pars or better.
 
Sheard won with a four-stroke lead over second place Lawren Rowe from the University of Victoria (281).
 
Six golfers finished under par at the championship, which featured 106 golfers from Canadian Universities.
 
Crisologo, who was a NCAA Division II PING All-Region honoree and Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, was the lone competitor invited from Simon Fraser.
 
This season Crisologo took medalist honors at two tournaments and he has finished in the top-five in six of 10 events, including the Canadian University championship that wrapped up Friday.
