BILLINGS, Mont. - Montana State Billings won the women's team title and MSUB's Gage Huft won the men's individual title Friday in the MSUB Yellowjacket Spring Invitational golf tournament at the Pryer Creek Golf Club.

Huft, who shot a two-under par 70 Thursday, slipped to a 78 Friday on the par-72, 6,278 yard layout, but still finished in a tie for first with Austin Westphal of North Idaho. 

Gage, who currently ranks second in the GNAC in scoring averaging 73.0 strokes per round, won the playoff to earn his third individual title of the 2012-13 season.  His earlier wins were in the MSUB Fall Invitational and in the MSUB Triangular.

The Yellowjacket men finished second in the team race with a 618 total, five shots back of North Idaho.  MSUB's B team finished fourth with a 653 total.  The Yellowjacket B team was led by Houston Bradbury, who finished sixth overall with a 36-hole score of 154.

MSUB cruised to an easy 24-shot win in the women's division, carding rounds of 323 and 325.  Its 648 total bettered Colorado Mesa's runner-up score of 672.

The Yellowjackets had five golfers in the Top 10 led by Katie Fish, who finished third with a 158 total on a pair of 79s.  Melissa Saken finished fifth (160).  Also in the Top 10 were Cayley Fish (7th, 165), BreAnna Cameron (8th, 167) and Capri Ingram (9th, 168).  Cameron was competing as an individual.

Brandi Holmes of Black Hills State won medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 155 on the par-73, 6,278 yard course.
