Swanson New Coach At Saint Martin's (9/20/07)

Kris Swanson has been hired as the new head men's golf coach at Saint Martin's replacing Mark Jensen.

“Kris brings experience and knowledge as a former student-athlete of what it takes to be successful at the DII level,” said SMU athletic director Bob Grisham. 

Swanson graduated from Capital High School in 2000 and from Saints Martin's in 2005. He is currently working as an assistant golf pro at the Tumwater Valley Municipal Golf Course.

Swanson will get right to work as the Saints host their home invitational starting Friday.

Bowling Named Coach at Montana State Billing (9/18/07)

Sean Bowling has been hired as the Montana State Billings' head men's golf coach.  Bowling, a former student at MSU Billings, replaces Jesse Valdez.

“We are excited to have Sean accept our invitation to be our next head men's golf coach at MSU Billings,” said MSUB athletic director Dr. Gary Gray.  “His experiences as Assistant Golf Professional at the Briarwood will suit him well.  It is great to welcome him back to MSUB as head coach.”

Bowling, a native of Billings, has been the Assistant Golf Professional at the Briarwood Golf Club in Billings for the past five months, and is working toward his status as Head Pro.
