BELLINGHAM, Wash. – For the second consecutive season, Western Washington senior forward Trevor Jasinsky has been selected to the Top-100 Watch List for the 2020 Bevo Francis Player of the Year Award.

The list consists of some of the top players from NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I and Division II, USCAA and NCCAA.

Jasinsky, a 6-8 forward out of Camas High School, is averaging 16.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game during his current senior season. He has scored in double-digits in 12 of 14 games, helping lead the Vikings to a 10-4 overall record and a 5-1 mark in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play. He is currently fifth in the GNAC in scoring average, fourth in assists, 13th in rebounding and eighth with a .817 free throw percentage (58-71).

During his collegiate career, Jasinsky has played in all 104 possible games while making 73 starts. He ranks 15th in WWU history with 1,302 career points scored (12.5 points/game) and is sixth in WWU and 27th in GNAC history with 174 made three3-pointers.

As a junior in 2018-19, Jasinsky finished second in the GNAC with 19.1 points per game and was a unanimous First Team All-GNAC and All-West Region selection

The Clarence “Bevo” Francis Award is presented annually by Small College Basketball to the player with the best overall season in small-college basketball. A committee of college coaches narrowed the list down to 100 players from over 1,100 colleges and universities and took into consideration individual statistics and achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements.

On February 15, the list will be reduced to the Top 50 players. One month later on March 15, the top-25 players will be announced. On April 4, the finalists of this year’s award will be announced, followed by the Bevo Francis Award winner being crowned on April 6.

Jasinsky is the only GNAC player represented on the Top 100 Watch list and is one of just three NCAA Division II West Region players listed, joining UC San Diego’s Christian Oshita and Azusa Pacific’s Selom Mawugbe.
