PORTLAND, Ore. - Five Great Northwest Athletic players have been selected to the 2012-13 NABC West Region all-star team, including first team selections John Allen and Paul Jones of Western Washington and David Downs of Seattle Pacific.

Named to the NABC second team were Mark McLaughlin of Central Washington and Jobi Wall of Seattle Pacific.

Allen, Jones and Downs were all earlier named to the Daktronics first team, while McLaughlin was also a second team pick on the Daktronics squad. 

The NABC team is selected by the region's coaches, while the Daktronics team is selected by the region's sports information directors.

Downs and Mitchel Anderson of Cal Poly Pomona were the lone repeaters on the NABC team.  Both players moved up to the first team this year after  earning second team honors a year ago. 

Downs made a clean sweep of the three regional teams also earlier earning CoSIDA Academic all-region accolades.
