PORTLAND, Ore. - A total of 53 student-athletes, including 30 women and 23 men, have been named to the 2012-13 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Basketball Academic all-conference team.

Among the women, Annie DePuydt of Montana State Billings and Suzanna Ohlsen of Seattle Pacific have the Top GPAs with perfect 4.00 marks.  Heather Adams of Northwest Nazarene has the top GPAs among seniors with a 3.90 average.

Among the men, Riley Stockton of Seattle Pacific, with a 3.92 GPA,  has the top grade point. Liam Gibcus of Alaska Anchorage with  a 3.80 GPA, is the pacesetter among seniors.

Seattle Pacific placed the most players on the academic teams with a total of nine (five men and four women).  Montana State Billings (1 man, 7 women) and Saint Martin's (6 men, 2 women) each had eight academic all-conference performers.

Ten players - Gibcus and Alysa Horn of Alaska Anchorage, Heather Adams of Northwest Nazarene, Brady Bomber and Roger O'Neill of Saint Martin's, Scott Morse and Rachel Murry of Seattle Pacific, Kristina Collins of Simon Fraser, and Chris Mitchell and Corinn Waltrip of Western Washington - made the team for the third year in a row.

A total of 11 players - four men and seven women - earned their second academic all-conference selection.

To be eligible for the academic team, student-athletes must earn a letter, have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 and be completing at least their second year of eligibility at their university.
