In our latest edition of the Best of GNAC Insider, host Robert Lowery visits with Alaska women's basketball junior guard Jocelyn Gandara. Recorded prior to the Christmas break, Gandara would go on to lead the conference in scoring and was named the GNAC Newcomer of the Year.

In the interview, Gandara talks about how she became a prolific scorer, the value of hard work that she carries in every aspect of her life, why she chose criminal justice as a major and what drew her to Fairbanks, Alaska after growing up in El Paso, Texas and playing junior college basketball in Susanville, California.
