PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider returns Tuesday at 7 p.m. (PT) as the winter sports season approaches its peak. Among the episode’s guests are two standout athletes and a new face in the conference community.

Following a stellar freshman campaign in track and field last year, Saint Martin’s Keshara Romain joins the show. Romain is the reigning GNAC Track and Field Female Freshman of the Year and a U.S. Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-West Region selection in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, competing in 200 meters, long jump and triple jump for the Saints.

Romain placed fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump at last year’s GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. She then placed second in the triple jump at the GNAC Outdoor Championships before placing 14th in the event at the NCAA Division II Championships.

In his final season in Anchorage, Seawolves’ senior guard Jack Macdonald joins the show. Macdonald has been one of the Seawolves’ most efficient outside shooters. Of his 42 field goals made, 26 have come from three-point range. He ranks third in the conference with a .510 three-point field goal percentage and 18th with 2.4 assists per game.

In just his second month of work on the Concordia campus, Cavaliers’ vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics Matt Martin also joins the show. Martin spent the last three years at Division I Winthrop, where his primary duties included overseeing all aspects of the athletic department’s external units. Martin’s first day of work at Concordia was Dec. 9.
