PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider was back Tuesday at 7 p.m. (PT) in the midst of the fall sports season. Among the episode’s guests were one of the GNAC’s top golfers and the head coach of the conference’s hottest football program.

Leading off this week’s episode was Steve Card, Western Washington’s director of athletics. Card previously served as Western Washington’s associate director of athletics for business and financial affairs while also leading the men’s golf program for 20 years. The Western Washington men’s golf, volleyball, women's cross country and women’s soccer teams are all nationally ranked this fall.

Card was appointed to the NCAA Division II Championships Committee in 2017. He touched base on the committee’s recent recommendation to loosen neutrality policies during postseason events.

Fresh off an individual victory at the Concordia Invitational, returning GNAC Co-Player of the Year Cammie Decker of the Concordia women’s golf team joined the show. Decker was tied for first place with Dominican’s Claire Shubin after two rounds but won the tournament in a two-hole playoff. It was the senior’s first win of the season.

In his 15th season as head coach of the Western Oregon football program, Arne Ferguson joined the show. The Wolves are 3-0 in GNAC play and have won four consecutive games. Ferguson discussed his program’s resurgence as well as the Wolves’ big upcoming homecoming game against Central Washington.
