PORTLAND, Ore. - GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7 p.m. (PDT) with three golf-centric guests as the men's and women's teams prepare for the GNAC Championships.

Leading off the program was Simon Fraser junior Sy Lovan. The Clan are fresh off one of their best performances of the season, finishing second at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational in Turlock, Calif.

Lovan finished inside the top-10 at Turlock Golf & Country Club, using consistent improvement over all three rounds for a total score of one-over par.

Simon Fraser is slotted at No. 6 in the latest NCAA Division II West Region rankings as the regular season comes to a close. The team will get its postseason run underway on Monday at the GNAC Championships in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where it will look to defend its 2018 conference title.

Also joining the show was Northwest Nazarene head men's and women's golf coach Craig Stensgaard. Stensgaard came to NNU in a full-time capacity 19 years ago as the men's golf coach and assistant basketball coach.

He was named to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Committee in 2016 and now serves as the chair of the Regional Advisory Committees (RAC) in both the West and South Central regions. The national committee serves to develop policies and procedures to administer the golf championships.

Stensgaard joined the program to talk about his role on the committee and the upcoming GNAC Championships.

Tuesday's show was rounded out by a visit from Shantel Antonio, a women's golfer in her senior season at Concordia. Antonio is the reigning GNAC Women's Golfer of the week after earning medalist honors and leading the Cavaliers to a title at the Sonoma State Spring Invitational. She will be back in action next week along with the rest of the conference at the GNAC Championships in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
