PORTLAND, Ore. – With the GNAC Championships behind us, we saw another edition of GNAC Insider, which aired Tuesday. Tuesday's guests were Concordia women’s soccer senior defender Ana Delgadillo, Western Washington women’s soccer junior forward Karli White and Central Washington director of athletics Dennis Francois.

Coming into Concordia’s first NCAA postseason appearance in program history, Delgadillo joined the show after a stellar year on defense. The senior was named the 2017 GNAC Defensive Player of the Year last week, leading the Cavs to 11 shutouts and just 12 goals allowed during an unbeaten 11-0-1 GNAC campaign. Concordia will take on Chico State this Friday in the opening round of the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships in La Jolla, Calif.

In her first season of GNAC action, White has taken the league by storm. Her eight regular-season goals and assists (23 points) were good for third in the GNAC, as she was named the GNAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection last week. White, a Division I transfer from Seattle Univ., has been a reliable forward for Vikings head coach Travis Connell. Her one goal on 11 shots in the GNAC Championships earned her tournament MVP honors. She is a part of a Western Washington team that won its third-straight GNAC title and qualified for its sixth-consecutive Division II West Regional Championships. The No. 2 seed in the West Region, WWU will host the winner of Sonoma State/Cal Baptist this Saturday at 4 p.m.

Big changes are coming soon to the campus of Central Washington. The CWU board of trustees recently passed a resolution for a new residence hall and the renovation of Tomlinson Stadium. Playing an important role in these developments, Francois has made a big impact in the athletic department at Central Washington. The Wildcats’ football program has also made leaps during his tenure. Ranked No. 7 in the nation at 10-0, the Wildcats will play at Humboldt State this weekend for the GNAC title. Broadcast nationally on ESPN3, a win against the Lumberjacks would guarantee Central Washington the regular-season title. Central Washington is currently ranked No. 2 in Super Region 4 and is one of three undefeated teams remaining in their region.
