Throughout the year, GNACsports.com uses this space to profile conference student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Collectively, it is these individuals who make the GNAC one of the top NCAA Division II athletic conferences in the nation.

Name: Chris Gregor
Role: Associate Athletic Director - Internal Operations & Compliance
School: Saint Martin's University
Hometown: Ripon, Wis.

Why Did You Decide To Work in College Athletics: I've always loved sports, participating in them, and just being involved in them period. Pursuing this field gave me a chance to do that on a daily basis and surround myself with colleagues and others that have that same passion and love for sports.

Who Has Influenced You The Most As A Professional - Either As a Professional, As A Mentor Or Philosophically: My parents. They instilled in me my work ethic, my perseverance and my want and desire to do the right thing no matter how easy or difficult that might be.

Biggest Obstacle Overcome As A Professional: Trying to know all 270 pages of the ever-changing NCAA Division II Manual.

What Does Division II Mean To You: Division II means to me that you're embodying the student-athlete as a whole, not just their athletic abilities or their contributions to your bottom line. Division II is all about fostering and developing as a whole person, in the classroom, in your communities and on the athletic fields.

Extracurricular Activities: Staying active, hiking, going to my kid's sporting events. Definitely not bouncing on trampolines - I hear that's a horrible idea!

Best Advice You Would Give To Student-Athletes: Volunteer and just get involved in as much as you can while you're on campus. Meet people, make connections, and just experience as much as you can as you go through college. Work hard, do your best and when you make a commitment to doing something you do it fully until the end.

If You Could Spend The Day With One Person (Past Or Present), Who Would It Be?: Barack Obama. I marveled at his ability to sit in the seat of the most powerful man in the nation with millions of people in this nation, and billions around the world, depending on his decisions he makes, while never forgetting that he is first a husband and a father.

Favorite Sports Team: Green Bay Packers

Favorite Athlete: Brett Favre

Most Memorable Sports-Related Moment: The Green Bay Packers winning the 1996 Super Bowl.
