NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America named four GNAC athletes to the NCAA Division II PING All-West Region team on Tuesday with Simon Fraser’s Chris Crisologo being honored alongside a trio of Western Washington seniors.

The Vikings, who are currently competing in the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf National Championships, were represented on the all-region team by Brett Johnson, Chris Hatch and Jeffrey Marcum.

The GNAC Player of the Year, Crisologo won four individual titles and had a conference-best 71.1 strokes per round in his junior season. Crisologo won the GNAC Championships individually to earn admittance into the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional as an individual qualifier. He finished in a tie for 11th place at the tournament with a score of 7-under-par 209 to wrap up his season.

Hatch took second place at the GNAC Championships with a score of 3-under-par 210. It was his second top-five finish of the season. Hatch leads the Vikings in strokes per round at 72.4, including 13 rounds at par or better. At the super regional, Hatch finished in a tie for 15th place to help WWU qualify for the national championships.

The Vikings tied for third place in the super regional, and Johnson was the one to lead that effort, carding a 10-under-par 206 with a low round of 67 on the second day of play. Johnson has a team-best 15 rounds at par or under in 31 rounds in his senior year. At the Western Washington Invitational, Johnson recorded his best finish of the year, tying for second place at 4-under-par 212.

Marcum has recorded a team-best six top-10 finishes this year, including a sixth-place finish in the GNAC Championships with a score of 4-over-par 217. Marcum ranks third in the conference in strokes per round at 73.1 and his lowest round of the year is a 68.
