Crisologo Named To PING/GCAA All-American Team

PORTLAND, Ore. - For the second year in a row, Simon Fraser sophomore Chris Crisologo has been selected to the Division II PING All-America Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Crisologo received third team honors and was one of 24 student-athletes from the Division II ranks selected to the team. The Richmond, B.C., native earned second team honors as a freshman.

Crisologo was voted by conference coaches as the 2016 GNAC Men's Golf Player of the Year after leading all GNAC players with a stroke average of 71.4 per 18 holes. He earned First Team All-GNAC honors thanks to a second place finish at the GNAC Championships. He went on to place 16th at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf West/South Central Super Regional and was also named to the PING All-West Region Team.

In June, Crisologo placed fifth at the Golf Canada Canadian University/College Championship in nearby Parksville, B.C., finishing the four-round tournament at 2-under-par 286. For the season, Crisologo finished finished in he top-five in six of 10 events.
