STOCKTON, Calif. – After shooting an 82 in the opening round, Saint Martin’s Jennifer Liedes responded with one of the lowest second round scores of 2-under-par 70 at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf West Super Regional at the Brookside Country Club.

Liedes combined two-round score has her tied for 32nd place with one round to go on Wednesday. She started her day on the back-nine holes where she shot even-par with two birdies and two bogeys. On the front nine, she finished with a clean card and 2-under-par with two birdies and no bogeys.

Western Washington dropped from second place into a tie for fifth place after shooting a combined score of 300 in the second round. Freshman Hannah Drake continue her impressive tournament, carding a 1-over-par 73 after finishing even-par in the first round. She is tied for seventh place heading into the final round.

Senior Kristen Hansen and sophomore Jenn Paul each improved by a stroke on Tuesday, finishing at 2-over-par 74 and tied for 23rd. Junior Audrey Orem cut down three strokes to shoot a 79, while junior Brooke Branigan finished at 83.

Tarleton State remains in first place after round two with a team score of 288 in the second round. Tarleton State’s Isabell Jimenez Perea is tied for first place with Dallas Baptist’s Syndey Williams and St. Edward’s Ana Sofia Bendavides at 4-under-par 140.

The top three teams and the top three individuals not with a qualifying team from the super regional will advance to the national championships on May 18-21 at CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora, Colo.
