PORTLAND Ore. – Episode 25 of GNAC Insider is now available as a free podcast via iTunes, and it features a trio of Great Northwest Athletic Conference coaches as guests.

Alaska Anchorage cross-country and track and field head coach Michael Friess, Northwest Nazarene baseball head coach Rocke Musgraves, and Western Oregon softball head coach Lonny Sargent each joined host Kevin Young live on the latest episode.

Friess’ Seawolves are coming off a tremendous showing at the NCAA Track and Field Indoor Championships last week, as UAA featured nine All-Americans and was named the GNAC Team of the Week. Friess highlighted some of the top performances by his runners, including senior Micah Chelimo’s NCAA title in the men’s 3,000 meters.

In his first season at the helm of the NNU baseball program, Musgraves has the Crusaders in second place in the GNAC standings at 6-6 so far this season in conference play. The long-time Louisiana State-Shreveport head coach discussed his transition from the NAIA to the NCAA, and some of his key players this season.

Sargent’s Wolves have won eight games in a row and currently sit in first place in the conference as the only undefeated team at 6-0. The second-year head coach talked about the keys to his team’s hot start, and previewed their matchups this weekend.

GNAC Insider airs live at 7 p.m. Pacific time every Tuesday and is produced by the conference office in conjunction with Soundbrook. All episodes become available as free podcasts via iTunes, and for archived listening via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal.
