PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 24 of GNAC Insider is now available as a free podcast via iTunes, and it features four Great Northwest Athletic Conference basketball guests who previewed the upcoming NCAA West Regional tournaments.

Seattle Pacific men’s basketball head coach Ryan Looney and Montana State Billings women’s head coach Kevin Woodin each made their third appearances as guests on GNAC Insider

Also joining host Kevin Young on the latest episode were Simon Fraser women’s head coach Bruce Langford and Western Washington women’s player Sydney Donaldson.

Looney’s Falcons clinched the No. 2 seed heading into this week’s tournament, and have made the regional playoffs in each of the last 10 seasons. Looney discussed SPU’s recent victory over WWU in the GNAC Championships title game, and what he expects from his team against Cal State Stanislaus on Friday.

Woodin, whose Yellowjackets claimed the No. 2 seed on the women’s side, is getting set to face the Academy of Art in the first round on Friday. The 10-year veteran talked about his team’s preparations for its first regional appearance since the 2006-07 season.

Coming off a 78-74 loss in the GNAC title game, Langford previewed his team’s rematch against Western Washington this Friday in Pomona. SFU is 1-2 so far this season against WWU.

Donaldson is averaging 9.3 points and 6.5 rebounds for WWU this season, and she shared her perspective after having played on last season’s regional championship team for the Vikings.

GNAC Insider airs live at 7 p.m. Pacific time every Tuesday and is produced by the conference office in conjunction with Soundbrook. All episodes become available as free podcasts via iTunes, and for archived listening via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal.
