PORTLAND, Ore. – GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. (PDT) with three guests with a look ahead to the winter sports season.

Saint Martin's men's basketball coach Alex Pribble lead off the show with a look ahead to the 2018-19 campaign. Now in his fourth season at the helm in Lacey, Pribble has guided the Saints to a 57-34 record in his tenure.

While at SMU, Pribble has coached one All-Region player, one GNAC Newcomer of the Year, five All-Conference selections, and nine All-Academic selections. Most recently, his team is coming off a 25-8 campaign and an appearance in the NCAA West Region semifinals.

With seven of that team's top eight scorers returning this year, expectations are high once again in Lacey.

Staying on the basketball court, GNAC Insider was joined by John Blazek, the new Division II National Coordinator of Officials for basketball. Blazek is the first to ever hold the position as it was introduced just a few months ago.

Blazek has 28 years of officiating experience in addition to eight years as a supervisor of officials. In his role as the Division II men’s basketball national coordinator, he will be responsible for working with Division II conference coordinators of officials to ensure the most consistent and effective teaching and communication methods.

The show was also joined by Simon Fraser cross country head coach Brit Townsend. Townsend has held her position with the Clan since 1998.

It was a big week for SFU as both the men's and women's teams posted a pair of top-3 finishes at the Conference Crossover Invitational in Romeoville, Illinois. Simon Fraser has one more meet remaining (the Western Washington Classic on Oct. 20) before next month's GNAC Championships.
