PORTLAND, Ore. – The 119th episode of GNAC Insider, the conference’s weekly 30-minute online radio show, aired live on Tuesday at 7 p.m. PST, hosted by Rob Lowery. This week’s guests are Montana State Billings athletic director Krista Montague, Saint Martin’s golfer Ryan Pickthorn and Central Washington baseball third baseman Dylan Freyre.

Montague joined the show after her trip to Columbus, Ohio, for the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Elite Eight, where she served as a member of the Division II Women’s Basketball National Committee and the chair of the West Regional committee. Montague is in her fourth year as the athletic director of Montana State Billings where she has been an administrator for the last 14 years. She earned her undergraduate degree at MSUB while playing basketball for the Yellowjackets in 1999.

Pickthorn has been a key piece of Saint Martin’s success during the spring portion of the golf season. He has finished in the top 10 at both events he has competed in this spring. He took fourth place at the East/West Bay Area Invite to help the Saints take fourth place as a team in their first spring tournament. Last week, he finished in a tie for eighth place at the NDNU Argonaut Invitational out of 96 competitors, leading the Saints to a sixth-place finish as a team. He ranks fifth in the GNAC this season in strokes per round with 73.3 in 17 rounds.

Freyre has been wielding one of the hottest bats in the GNAC this season with a conference-best .456 batting average, which ranks 15th in NCAA Division II. The senior third baseman was named GNAC Player of the Week earlier this month during his 18-game hitting streak. During that hitting streak, he had another streak of seven consecutive multi-hit games and another streak of six consecutive games with an extra-base hit.
