PORTLAND, Ore. – Western Washington’s Taylor Peacocke and Alaska Anchorage’s Autummn Williams picked up First Team honors to lead five GNAC selections to the D2CCA Women’s Basketball All-West Region Team. Ellen Kett from Simon Fraser, Jordan Wilson from Alaska and Kiki Robertson from Alaska Anchorage were all Second Team All-West Region selections.

Peacocke was Division II’s leading scorer this year with 23.3 points per game and with 745 points, became the first player in GNAC history to eclipse 700 points in a season. She was named the GNAC Player of the Year and finished her career just six points away from the GNAC’s all-time scoring record. Peacocke led the Vikings to a 26-6 season with trips to the GNAC Championships final and the NCAA West Regional semifinals, where they were the No. 3 seed.

The GNAC Newcomer of the Year, Williams was the only player that averaged double-digit scoring for the second-ranked team in Division II. She scored 21.3 points per game and racked up 92 assists and 84 steals and broke the GNAC single season record for field goals made with 258. Williams led the Seawolves to an undefeated regular season against Division II competition and the first 20-0 conference record in GNAC history. In her first year with the program, she also helped UAA win the GNAC Championships for a third year in a row, earning the No. 1 seed and right to host the NCAA West Regional.

Robertson also played a crucial role in the Seawolves success with her veteran experience. The senior recorded team-bests of 172 assists and 109 steals along with 8.6 points per game. She wrapped up her career with a 116-16 record in her four years with the program, starting in a GNAC record 128 games. She is also the GNAC’s all-time record holder in steals (382) and assists (700).

Wilson averaged 21 points per game in her senior season to lead the Nanooks to a 13-14 record. In just the third game of the season,  Wilson scored 30 points against Colorado State Pueblo to lead Alaska into overtime against the eventual No. 1 seed in the South Central Region. That started a string of three consecutive games scoring 30 points. Her 21 points per game ranked seventh in the nation and fourth in the West Region.

Kett proved to be one of the most versatile players in the GNAC in her senior season, averaging 12.2 points, 7.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game for SFU. This season, Kett broke several assists records, including the single-game record of 20 assists, which is tied for the fourth most in Division II history. She also is the GNAC’s all-time leader in double-digit assist games with 16 and single season assists with 262. She led Simon Fraser to a program record 26 wins since joining the NCAA in 2010. She also helped the Clan reach the NCAA West Regional final with an 80-70 win against then-undefeated Alaska Anchorage.
