PORTLAND, Ore. – The latest episode of GNAC Insider is now available as a free podcast on iTunes and for archived listening via the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Stretch Internet portal under the "on demand" tab.

Joining host Kevin Young on Episode 26 were Central Washington baseball head coach Desi Storey, Seattle Pacific track and field head coach Karl Lerum, and Western Oregon softball player Kelli Demianew.

Storey’s Wildcats are currently in third place in the GNAC standings and have won four of their last six conference games. The 23-season coaching veteran provided his take on how the conference is shaping up this season and previewed his team’s upcoming series against Saint Martin’s this weekend.

Lerum’s Falcons have gotten their outdoor track season under way, after senior McKayla Fricker finished in second place in the women’s 800 meters at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track Championships last week. Lerum discussed some of his top performers and gave his perspective on the competition he expects to see leading up to the GNAC championship meet in May.

Demianew earned Red Lion Pitcher of the Week honors after helping the Wolves to a 3-1 weekend against Saint Martin’s and Central Washington. WOU was named the GNAC Team of the Week and has won 11 of its last 12 contests, and the junior talked about the keys to the team’s early grip on first place.

GNAC Insider airs live at 7 p.m. Pacific time every Tuesday and is produced by the conference office in conjunction with Soundbrook. All episodes become available as free podcasts via iTunes, and for archived listening via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal.
